7 Festival Survival Tips

Don´t get lost! Useful tips for the festival.

Off to the festivals in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern because here you will experience music, dance and fun.

We’ve put together some ultimate survival tips to help you enjoy the event without worries.

1. Ticketbooking and Arrival

For most festivals you need a ticket which you should take care of early because they are usually sold out quickly. With your ticket you will often receive a program booklet with directions and a map. This is also very helpful in case you don’t find your tent on the grounds anymore. So just paint a big cross!

2. Tent or Luxury?

At festivals the question arises whether you sleep in a tent, in a car or even in a hotel. For us camping is simply part of the event. Because the party continues at night. And at most festivals the campsite is free. Of course, if you want more luxury, you can also rent another accommodation, e.g. a hotel/hotel.
Here you can discover accommodations for the small purse.

3. I pack my backpack and take with me…

… useful things that should not be missing at a festival:

  • Festival-Ticket, Money, ID, “Mothernote”
  • Comfortable Clothing
  • Rainwear
  • Sanitary Products
  • Suncreame, Sunglasses
  • Powerbank for the mobile phone
  • Ear Pax
  • Headache tablets
  • mosquito protection
  • Flashlight
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Soap bubbles, Confetti Cannon
  • something liquid for the thirst in between 😉

4. Proviant

Dining at a festival is often one-sided. “Canned food” or something horrible is one of the main meals. However you will often find food trucks selling pizza, burgers or something like that. Alternatively we have found the mega “Open Air – The Festival & Camping Cookbook” for you. From melon sparkling wine to burgers you can choose from a wide range.

5. Hygiene

There is hardly any body care at festivals. There are often only a few toilets and washrooms which also have a bad smell. Who would like to stand in line? A real alternative is a mobile shower – very practical and fully fulfils its purpose.

Additional Must-Have:
  • Toiletpaper
  • Desinfection Spray
  • Towel
  • Soap
  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste

6. Safety

  • 112 n a serious medical emergency in Germany!
  • 110 in case of theft in Germany

Please note emergency reports are not anonymous! Abuse will be punished! Please ask the respective organizer for general safety regulations. Where there are many people there are always a few things that disappear. So take extra care of your valuables. There are many gadgets to keep your treasures safe.

7. Weather

The weather in Germany is getting more and more bumpy. Especially thunderstorms can be dangerous when camping. Of course you should check the weather beforehand so that you have suitable clothes with you or if necessary you have to pack the inflateable boat.

Even if beer tastes particularly good it can be dangerous in the sun. So drink enough water to avoid dehydration.

Have fun at the Festival – HAKUNA MATATA!
