Island of Usedom

The sunny island of Usedom, as it is so beautifully called, is Germany’s second largest island.

From the top in Peenemünde with its Historical-Technical Museum to the south of Ahlbeck on the Polish border you will find endless sandy beaches.

The best way to explore the whole island is on an island safari tour or chill out on the Bodden side of the island in one of the cafés such as Café Knatter with adjacent stand-up paddle rental. From there you can start your trips to the nature paradise between Achterwasser and Peenestrom but also in the Szczecin Lagoon.
Not only here you will find some of the lagoons from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

More culture and hustle and bustle can be found in the lively three imperial spas Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin, which line up along the east bank.
