The Baltic Sea is right in front of “your door”… or your tent. Dat Stranddörp is one of the few campsites in the region with direct access to the beach. Here you can also do windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing and paddle. The shallow Bodden waters and the perfect wind make Mönchgut a unique water sports area.

The wind in your hair, sand under your feet and the sound of the sea in your ears: this is camping in Prerow. The Rainbow Resort (website in german) is one of the most popular in the north and extends over two and a half kilometres on a dream beach in the northwest of the Baltic Sea peninsula Darss. What is unique here is that you can stand with your tent or caravan on the wide, white beach!

Who explores Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania by bike and covers a good number of kilometres a day has no desire to set up and take down a tent every day. Many campsites in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern offer more comfortable solutions. Sleeping barrels and pods are comfortable, cozy overnight accommodations with a special flair.

There are eight sleeping barrels at the camping site Pommernland (website in german) on the sunny island Usedom. Here you sleep comfortably in pairs without sacrificing comfort.

Ready-to-move-in pods are available in the Camping and Motorhome Park “Naturcamping Malchow” (website in german) – arrive and the holiday can begin.

Europe’s largest water area is best explored on the water. Become your own captain and start on a cruise with your own motorhome. You rent the Freecamper (website in german), a floating pitch and ccruise through the huge river and lake landscape. Best of all you don’t even need a boat license and can even go as far as Berlin-Brandenburg.
