Use the excursion for a fascinating hiking experience in the deciduous forests of the Mecklenburg Lake District.
Schwerin Lakes & Schwerin Castle
With the Schwerin Lakes Tour (website in german) you can start relaxed with a canoe at Schwerin Castle and then move along the banks. From the water you have a fantastic view of the city. If you move near the banks of the castle you can even see the theatre and museum. On the way on the Schwerin inner and outer lake several shallow water resting places are waiting for you. Especially on the islands of Kaninchenwerder and Lieps you will always find a cosy place to stop and relax.
Several bays, steep banks, beaches for swimming and insights into the national park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft await you on the FDZ circular route.

Because here you will find the largest bird resting place in Central Europe. On the way back you will see cosy fishing villages and parks with castles that invite you to take a break.
